Foundation Stone Laid for New 4-Storey Dakbungalow in Morelganj

Bagerhat Zilla Parishad Chairman Barrister Sheikh Mohammad Zakir Hossain laid the foundation stone for a new four-storey Dakbungalow in Morelganj Upazila on Sunday at noon.

Funded by the Bagerhat Zilla Parishad, the facility is being constructed on the parishad's own land at an estimated cost of Tk 4.55 crore.

The official inauguration ceremony took place at the local Dakbungalow premises. Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Habibullah and several local political figures attended the event. Notable attendees included Bagerhat District BNP Member Secretary Bir Muktijoddha Muzaffar Rahman Alam, Upazila BNP General Secretary Adv. Mehedi Hasan Yad, Municipal BNP President Sikder Faridul Islam, and Jubo Dal Member Secretary BM Rezaul Karim Sohag.

Other key leaders present were Somnath Dey, Fakir Tariqul Islam, Adv. Farhana Zaman Nipa, Ohiduzzaman Paltu, and Asaduzzaman Milon.

Following the foundation-laying ceremony, the chief guest planted a tree on the premises as part of an initiative organized by the 90s Student Forum.
