Students Awarded at Anti-Corruption Competition in Morelganj

To raise awareness against graft among the youth the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) organized an award ceremony for local students in Morelganj on Thursday.

Held at the Morelganj Latifia Kamil Madrasa auditorium, the event celebrated the winners of anti-corruption essay painting mural and debate competitions. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Shahidul Islam attended as the chief guest and distributed prizes to the winning students.

The Morelganj Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee organized the program with support from the ACC's Bagerhat District Office. Participating students hailed from Ambikacharan Laha Pilot High School Morelganj Latifia Kamil Madrasa and Morelganj Government Girls High School.

Principal Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin Khan president of the Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee presided over the ceremony. Special guests included Upazila Disability Officer Md. Kaykobad Akunji and senior teacher Md. Zakir Hossain. The event was directed by local committee leaders and attended by regional journalists and social workers to show support for the anti-corruption initiative.
