


Five more children died from measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours up to 8 a.m. today, bringing Bangladesh's combined tally of confirmed and suspected measles-related deaths to 793.
According to the latest data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), suspected measles deaths have risen to 698, while laboratory-confirmed fatalities currently stand at 95.
The country reported 922 new suspected cases in the past 24 hours, pushing the nationwide cumulative total to 118,570. Meanwhile, 147 newly confirmed infections were recorded, raising the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 14,578.
Since 15 March, hospitals across the country have admitted 101,026 patients with suspected measles. Of those admitted, 97,532 patients have successfully recovered.
