Laxmipur Sadar Upazila West BNP President Advocate Mahbubur Rahman Khokon said, the Ameer of a party (Jamaat) has lost the parliamentary elections three times in the past. But our leader Khaleda Zia has not lost even once so far.

That Ameer sir, received a total of 47 thousand 961 votes in three times. But in the 2008 election in Laxmipur-2 constituency, Abul Khair Bhuiyan won by a margin of more than 80 thousand votes. That is why the party thinks that it will lose this time too. Fearing that it will lose, it is seeking votes through the PR method. If votes are cast through the PR method, the Ameer sir may be able to go to parliament.

He said these things as the chief guest in the workers' meeting organized by the Char Ruhita Union Sramik Dal of Sadar Upazila on Friday (October 31).

Mahbubur Rahman further said, in the power of fascist Sheikh Hasina. A party secretly and mixed with the Awami League. They continued their political activities. They were not in the movement. But BNP did the movement, they were on the streets. Unions, upazilas, districts, schools-colleges, universities could not work anywhere. But the anti-Hasina movement did not stop. But despite hundreds of cases and oppression, no one left the country. They did not leave the party. Now, after August 5, a party. Intoxicated with power, there is currently no work that they are not doing. They go to Hindu temples and say. Puja-fasting is one thing. Nauzubillah.

He further said, that party (Jamaat) is agitating in the name of elections using PR method. Again, it is demanding a referendum before the parliamentary elections to implement the July Charter. This is basically a conspiracy to postpone the elections. A conspiracy about the country. If a referendum is held before the elections, then they will say, there is no environment for elections now. Hold elections after a few more days. It means conspiracy and conspiracy. This conspiracy must be resisted by the leaders and activists of BNP with all the people of the country. Elections must be held next February. BNP will not accept any alternative decision.

The meeting, chaired by Char Ruhita Union Sramik Dal convener Mosharraf Hossain Roni and moderated by Member Secretary Rubel Hossain Bhuiyan, was attended by, among others, Sadar Upazila West BNP Organizing Secretary Saidur Rahman Bhutto, Sadar Upazila West Sramik Dal convener Delwar Hossain Howlader, Member Secretary Yusuf Ali, Char Ruhita Union BNP President Nur Hossain Arju, General Secretary Nazrul Islam Sabuj, Organizing Secretary Kamalur Rahim Manik Bhuiyan, Sadar Upazila West Chhatra Dal convener Abdul Majid and many others.
