When a person dies, all his deeds stop, but the sin that harms other people does not stop even after death—this profound message has emerged in an open letter written by Rakibul Islam, the Porsha Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) of Naogaon. In the letter, he wrote against drug dealers, beneficiaries and patrons.
Drugs are not just a crime, they are a permanent source of corruption. In the letter, UNO wrote these things, Drugs are a social disease, which is the root cause of almost every major crime. Even if you do not sell drugs directly, if you help this business from behind, then you are also a partner in that crime.
He further warned, on the Day of Judgment, even if you do not kill, you will be in the ranks of the murderers, even if you do not rape, you will have to stand by the rapists—because you were the supplier of that poison.
In the letter, he wrote in clear language, "You are destroying your child's future, your wife's dignity, and your parents' honor with your own hands. You are not alone—the entire nation is being harmed by your misguided path."
In his words, he explained that drugs are a fire whose smoke spreads to every corner of society—increasing crime rates, breaking up entire families, and losing the dreams of the young generation.
Highlighting the humane scenes and introspection that are the experiences of the recent campaign, UNO wrote, "In today's campaign, I saw shame and tears in the eyes of a drug dealer's little daughter and helpless wife. But those who are supposed to see—they are not seeing, they are not thinking."
This part of the letter has already received a wide response on social media. Many of Porsha's conscious people are also seeing it as an administrator's human manifestation. Call for repentance and society's response In the last part of the letter, UNO wrote these important words, "If you repent and return at any moment in your life—that will be your real victory. Choosing humanity, not drugs, is the highest courage of a person."
After the letter was published, a stir was created throughout Porsha Upazila. Teachers, guardians and social organizations congratulated and welcomed this great initiative of UNO and said that such a humanitarian call can awaken the society along with law enforcement.
The latest emotional statement of UNO—I know that this letter may not reach everyone. Still, I tell those who want to listen—quit drugs and come back as human beings. Society will not hate you, but rather accept you with love and this healthy society will easily take you into its bosom and give you a lot of love. And the love of this healthy society will make you forget your past and take you towards a better direction.
A healthy life always leads a person towards honest income and progress.
