


Bangladesh Open University (BOU) and UNICEF Cox’s Bazar have announced a joint commitment to enhance education and human resource development for disadvantaged and marginalized communities. The partnership was solidified during a high-level meeting held at the UNICEF office in Cox’s Bazar on the evening of Thursday.
The discussions focused on expanding inclusive education, strengthening capacity-building initiatives, and ensuring sustainable development through accessible learning. UNICEF’s Education Manager and Acting Chief of Field, Louise Leake, emphasized the organization’s commitment to innovative partnerships that create lasting social impact.
Representing BOU, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate on the welfare and empowerment of underprivileged children. He highlighted the university’s mission to provide quality education to students across all strata of society.
The meeting, coordinated by BOU IQAC Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Zahir Raihan, concluded with a shared vision of empowering citizens through equitable and accessible education.
Both organizations expect this partnership to pave the way for long-term joint activities aimed at transforming the educational landscape for the country's most vulnerable populations.
