


Priyanka Chopra Jonas revealed a simple yet meaningful piece of relationship advice while attending the New York premiere of "The Cycle of Love" on Thursday.
The actress executive produced the documentary which follows Delhi street artist PK Mahanandia's remarkable 6,000-mile bicycle journey to reunite with the woman he loved the Charlotte Von Schedvin. The couple is now married for 50 years inspired Priyanka deeply.
"Everything about it is so heartwarming and just makes me feel like in this crazy world right now, it's this ray of sunshine" she told E!.
Asked about her own nearly eight-year marriage to Nick Jonas, Priyanka said mutual respect for each other's cultural backgrounds has been essential to keeping their relationship strong.
"I don't know if I'd love him if he didn't" she said of Nick embracing Indian culture and traditions. "That is a big part of any story or any relationship that is multicultural. I think it's really important to have a sense of respect for your partner's roots."
Nick has also helped their four-year-old daughter Malti stay connected to her Indian heritage through Hindu holidays and family traditions.
When asked for the real secret to keeping love alive, Priyanka kept her answer simple "Being kind to your partner. That's something that's really important."
For the premiere Priyanka wore an all-black look a sleeveless dress by A.W.A.K.E. Mode paired with minimalist stiletto sandals also reflecting a growing trend toward barely-there footwear in women's fashion.
