


A coordination meeting with district-level officials from various departments involved in healthcare was held in Lakshmipur on Sunday to improve the quality of healthcare, protect public health and strengthen interdepartmental coordination.
The meeting was held at the Lakshmipur Civil Surgeon’s Office in the afternoon and was chaired by Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Baharul Alam.

The meeting discussed several key public-health issues, including the district’s overall health situation, food safety, medicine quality control, environmental protection, anti-drug activities and family-planning services.
Participants emphasized the need for regular communication, information sharing and cooperation among the relevant government departments to ensure effective implementation of these initiatives.
Speakers said that the efforts of any single department alone are not sufficient to protect public health. They stressed that coordinated and integrated initiatives are essential to provide people with safer, higher-quality and more effective healthcare services.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to further improve Lakshmipur’s public-health situation through stronger interdepartmental coordination.
