National Road Safety Day celebrated in Paikgacha

National Road Safety Day was celebrated in Paikgacha, Khulna. On this occasion, the Upazila Administration and the Upazila Branch of Nischa Wants Safe Roads organized a rally and gathering.

On the morning of Wednesday, October 22, a colorful rally circled the main road of the Paikgacha Upazila Sadar. Later, a rally was held on the Paikgacha Upazila Parishad premises under the chairmanship of Nischa President HM Shafiul Islam and moderated by General Secretary Ilias Hossain on the theme "Quality helmets and safe speed, will reduce loss of life and property". Professor Samaresh Roy, Principal of Government College, was the chief guest at the rally.

The special guests were Upazila Cooperative Officer Humayun Kabir, Social Service Officer Anath Kumar Biswas, Head Teacher Abdul Wahab, Police Station SI Atiq Rahman, Municipality BNP President Aslam Parvez, Upazila BNP Member Secretary SM Imdadul Haque, Head Teacher Shamsur Rahman, President of Sholaana Businessmen Cooperative Association GM Shukuruzzaman, Upazila BNP Joint Convener Abul Hossain, Municipality BNP Organizing Secretary Sheikh Ruhul Quddus, Youth Leader Abu Huraira Badsha, Lecturer Abu Sayeed, CA Abdul Bari of the Upazila Executive Officer's Office.

NISCHA Senior Vice President, Journalist Abdul Aziz, SM Alauddin Sohag, Journalist N Islam Sagar, Alauddin Raja, Snehendu Bikash, Prakash Ghosh Bidhan, Asadul Islam, Purna Chandra Mandal, Fasiar Rahman, Jalal Ahmed, Abul Hashem, Badiuzzaman, Shahzaman Badsha, Mansur Rahman Zahid, Kazi Sohag, Mazharul Islam Mithun, Mahananda Adhikari Mintu, Doctors Sirajul Islam, Farijul Islam Gazi, Rocky Biswas, Abu Hanif Milan, Harun Kaharul and various social, political and safe road leaders were present. Speakers at the rally demanded the enactment of a road safety law to prevent road accidents and ensure road safety.

After the program, prayers were held for the recovery of NISCHA Chairman, film actor Ilias Kanchan, who is undergoing treatment in London.
