At least 15 people were injured during a violent clash between two groups over the possession of government-leased land in Saltha, Faridpur, on Friday night.
The incident occurred around 9:00 PM in Harina village, Majhardia Union. Local sources reported that the confrontation stemmed from a long-standing dispute between Sanjay Malo and his neighbors, Masud Chowdhury and Dulal Chowdhury, regarding the lease and occupation of government land.
Tensions had been escalating for several days before erupting into a physical fight involving indigenous weapons. The injured were rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital and Nagarkanda Health Center for treatment.
Saltha Police Station OC (Investigation) KM Maruf Hasan Russell stated that police arrived at approximately 9:30 PM to restore order. "The situation is currently under control. We will take legal action once a formal complaint is filed," he added.
