Mourning falls on Chattogram after Khaleda Zia's death

A deep sense of mourning has descended on Chattogram after the death of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Since early morning, leaders and activists have gathered at the Chattogram Metropolitan BNP office in Kazir Deuri in the city to mourn the memory of the national leader.

The mourning ceremony began on Tuesday (December 30) morning and is scheduled to continue throughout the day. The presence of leaders and activists and supporters is gradually increasing.

The Chattogram Metropolitan BNP has hoisted a black flag at the office. In addition, teachers and students of various madrasas organized a Quran Khatam. They participated in prayers and prayers, seeking peace for the soul of the late Begum Khaleda.

Leaders and activists from different areas of Chattogram attended the office and remembered her contribution, struggle and sacrifice in the country's politics.

BNP leaders said that the departure of Begum Khaleda Zia has created an immortal void in the country's politics. Her leadership, determination and patriotism will forever be a source of inspiration in history.

Former member secretary of the Metropolitan BNP, Abul Hashem Bakkar, said, "The one who is called the mother of democracy, the Mother of Democracy, Begum Khaleda Zia, left this world at 6 am today. She has always fought for the establishment of democracy, human rights and law in the country. She never compromised with tyranny. Her name will be remembered forever as an 'uncompromising leader' in Asia.
