


A mourning meeting and prayer mahfil were held in Porsha, Naogaon on the death of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The mourning meeting and prayer mahfil were held at the Chatale of Chowdhury, former president of Tentulia Union BNP, late Qayyum Shahdasr, on Friday afternoon, organized by the Upazila BNP and all its affiliated organizations. The chief guest was Mostafizur Rahman, a BNP-nominated MP candidate in the 13th parliamentary election.
The special guests were former senior vice president of Upazila BNP, Taufiqur Rahman Shahdasr; Chowdhury and former general secretary Lion Masud Rana. Former Joint Organizing Secretary Azahar Ali presided over the meeting, which was chaired by former Upazila BNP convener Shafiuddin Mondal. Special prayers and supplications were offered at the meeting, seeking peace and forgiveness for the departed soul of the recently deceased former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Special prayers were also offered in the prayer mahfil for the welfare of the country and the nation.
BNP leaders Abdul Gani, Abul Kashem, Ibrahim Ali, Sanaullah Mondal, Jubo Dal leaders Iqbal Hasan Shah, Enamul Haque Shah, and leaders and activists of Upazila BNP and its affiliates were present.
