Coast Guard Arrests One with Yaba in Bhola

The Coast Guard has arrested a suspected drug dealer with 1,400 yaba tablets in Bhola.

The arrested suspect was identified as Mst Rumi, 24, daughter of the late Abdul Rahim and wife of the late Kabir Hossain of Kalabaijabunia, Lichubagan, Rangunia, Chattogram.

Lieutenant Md Salman Bin Shawkat, media officer of the Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone, confirmed the matter on Wednesday (August 26).

He said that acting on a tip-off, a special operation was conducted by Coast Guard Base Bhola at around 8am near the Ilisha launch terminal area under Bhola Sadar Police Station.

During the operation, Rumi was arrested with 1,400 yaba tablets worth approximately Tk 700,000, according to the Coast Guard.

The seized yaba and the arrested suspect were handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station for further legal action.
