Lakshmipur Sadar Holds Basic TDP Training for Ansar-VDP Volunteers

A basic TDP training programme for volunteer members of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) was held in Lakshmipur Sadar upazila.

The training was organised by the Upazila Ansar and VDP Office, Lakshmipur Sadar, as part of the annual training plan. It aimed to strengthen participants’ skills in leadership, discipline, public safety and effective performance of their duties.

Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kathoaiprue Marma attended the programme as the chief guest and provided various guidelines to the trainees.

The training covered the role of Ansar members in assisting magisterial activities, preventing drug trafficking and smuggling, and maintaining law and order. Emphasis was also placed on carrying out responsibilities with discipline, efficiency and a strong sense of accountability to ensure public safety.

Upazila Ansar and VDP Officer Asma Akter and other officials concerned were also present.

Officials expressed hope that the training would further improve the professional skills and operational capacity of Ansar and VDP members.
