Eid-e-Miladunnabi Observed in Pabna with Religious Fervour

Like elsewhere in the country, Eid-e-Miladunnabi (SAW) was observed in Pabna with due religious solemnity and reverence.

On Thursday (August 26) morning, a discussion meeting on the life, teachings and ideals of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), followed by a prayer session, was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Aminul Islam. Pabna Sadar MP Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas attended as the chief guest. Police Superintendent Abu Ashraf, District Council Administrator and freedom fighter Zohurul Islam Bishu, along with distinguished people from various professions, were also present.

Speakers said Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the greatest role model for humanity. They urged people to draw lessons from his life and promote justice, equality, peace, humanity and communal harmony in personal, social and national life.

They further said the Prophet’s teachings of love, compassion, forgiveness and brotherhood remain highly relevant in today’s world. Following his ideals can help eliminate hatred, hostility and division from society.

The programme concluded with a special prayer seeking peace, prosperity and well-being for the country, its people and the Muslim Ummah.
