


A training workshop focusing on the media’s role in the upcoming constitutional referendum and the 13th parliamentary elections was held on Monday at the regional office of Bangladesh Betar, Chattogram.
The session, which began at 3:00 pm at the Regional News Agency studio, was presided over by Bangladesh Betar (Chattogram) Director Md. Mahfuzul Haque. Muhammad Shariful Quader, Additional Director General (News) of Bangladesh Betar, attended as the chief guest.
Addressing the participants, Muhammad Shariful Quader emphasized the vital responsibility of journalists in ensuring a transparent electoral process. "The media’s role in the referendum and the 13th National Parliament elections is immense. Betar journalists must uphold their legacy of objectivity and impartiality to provide the public with accurate information," he stated.
He further noted that Bangladesh Betar has initiated various awareness programs nationwide. As part of these efforts, a discussion and cultural event titled "Outdoor" will be held today, Tuesday (January 20), at 3:30 pm at DC Hill in Chattogram, in collaboration with the district administration.
The workshop also featured special guests, including Regional News Controller Molla Md. Abdul Halim, and Assistant News Controllers Kamrun Nahar and Md. Lutfar Rahman. Journalists from various districts and upazilas across the Chattogram division participated in the session.
