Preparations Underway at Polo Ground for Tarique Rahman’s Chattogram Rally

The historic Polo Ground is being prepared for a major public meeting to be addressed by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on January 25. This visit marks his return to the port city after nearly 21 years.

On Sunday morning, Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain visited the venue to oversee the arrangements. He was accompanied by senior Metropolitan BNP leaders, including Abul Hashem Bakkar, Yasin Chowdhury Liton, and Ahmedul Alam Russell.

According to Dr. Shahadat, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to travel to Chattogram by road on January 24, stopping for several street meetings in Feni and Mirsarai along the way. He is expected to address the grand rally at the Polo Ground on the morning of January 25.

Venue Preparations and initial work at the site cleaning, leveling the ground, and removing debris. Determining the stage location, designing the layout, and ensuring structural repairs. Setting up a high-quality sound system and dedicated electrical connections.

Forming volunteer teams and disciplinary committees to manage the expected large crowds. Organizers are prioritizing security measures and crowd management to ensure the event proceeds smoothly.
