


BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman arrived in Chattogram on Saturday evening as part of the party’s election campaign for the upcoming national parliamentary elections.
He landed at Shah Amanat International Airport around 7:30 pm on January 24, where senior BNP leaders and party activists gathered to receive him. His arrival created noticeable enthusiasm among BNP leaders and supporters across the city.
Tarique Rahman was welcomed at the airport by BNP Standing Committee members Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salahuddin Ahmed, Golam Akbar Khandaker and Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury. Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain, former city BNP general secretary Abul Hasan Bakkar, Chattogram city BNP member secretary Nazimur Rahman, and other senior leaders were also present.
After arriving in the city, Tarique Rahman held a meeting with Chattogram city BNP leaders to discuss organisational and election-related matters.
Party leaders said his visit is expected to strengthen BNP’s campaign activities in Chattogram and energise grassroots leaders and activists.
Tarique Rahman is scheduled to attend a public rally on Sunday. He is also expected to hold a separate meeting with youth leaders during his stay.
