


Barrister Andalib Rahman Partha the Chairman of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) and Member of Parliament for Bhola-1 has officially taken the oath as a minister in Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s cabinet.
His induction into the cabinet on Friday evening sparked widespread celebrations across his constituency. Overjoyed BJP leaders and activists organized a vibrant procession in Bhola town and distributed sweets to the public.
The procession commenced at the BJP office in Notun Bazar moving through the Bangla School intersection, Sadar Road and Chawkbazar, before concluding at the party office. Participants chanted slogans expressing deep gratitude to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for the strategic appointment.
Local leaders are highly optimistic that Partha’s new ministerial role will accelerate regional development. Motasin Billah, General Secretary of the Bhola District BJP highlighted the pressing needs of the island district.
"We are thrilled. Bhola urgently needs strong representation to address local crises. We hope he will now play a pivotal role in preventing river erosion, constructing the much-needed Bhola-Barisal bridge, and establishing a medical college" Billah said.
The local chapter of the BNP, the principal party in the ruling alliance also welcomed the appointment. Bhola District BNP Member Secretary Md. Raisul Alam congratulated the new minister also emphasizing political unity for regional progress.
"The ongoing development in our island district under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's leadership will gain significant momentum with Partha’s appointment. As alliance partners, the BNP and BJP will work closely together for the overall advancement and protection of Bhola" Alam stated.
