The results of the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination have been published. A total of 79,246 students across Bangladesh received scholarships this year. Among them, 32,965 students were selected for the Talent Pool scholarship category.

The results were announced at a press conference held at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka at 12:00 pm on Sunday (12 July). Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon officially released the results.

According to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, students can check their results through the official IPEMIS portal or collect them from their respective educational institutions. Parents can also access the results online and via SMS.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj, Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Shahina Ferdousi, and other senior officials attended the event.

Officials said the Primary Scholarship Examination Policy provides for 82,500 scholarships in 2025, including 33,000 Talent Pool scholarships and 49,500 General scholarships. Under the policy, 80% of scholarships are allocated to government primary school students and 20% to students from private primary and kindergarten schools.

For the General Scholarship category, 39,600 scholarships are reserved for government primary schools. Each union and ward receives five scholarships—two for boys, two for girls, and one based on overall merit. The remaining 20% of General Scholarships are allocated to private schools based on upazila.

This year's examination was held in 78,810 schools, including 65,605 government and 13,205 private institutions.

A total of 600,041 students registered for the examination, comprising 256,117 boys and 343,924 girls. Among them, 483,759 students (80.53%) appeared for the examination. Attendance included 344,127 students from government schools and 75,455 students from private schools. Of the students who appeared, 166,641 (39.68%) were boys and 253,041 (60.32%) were girls.

According to the official results, 79,246 scholarships were awarded. Of the 32,965 Talent Pool recipients, 26,375 are from government schools and 6,590 from private schools. Among the 46,281 General Scholarship recipients, 36,420 are from government schools and 9,861 from private schools.

Overall, 35,982 boys (45.29%) and 43,354 girls (54.71%) received scholarships.

The Primary Scholarship Examination was conducted nationwide from 15 to 18 April 2026, except in the three hill districts—Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban—where examinations were held from 17 to 20 April under a separate schedule.

More than 640,000 students were initially expected to take part in this year's examination, including about 550,000 students from government primary schools and 90,000 students from private primary and kindergarten institutions.
