Samanjar Sayeed has been crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2026, emerging victorious at the grand finale held at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden on Saturday, July 11. Swagata Saha and Labiba Manzoor secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.
Sayeed, who succeeds 2025 winner Aklima Atika Konika, will now represent Bangladesh at the upcoming Miss World Festival in Vietnam. The prestigious global pageant, celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, kicks off in Hanoi on August 9, with the grand finale scheduled for September 5 in Nha Trang.
Organized by the Azra Mahmud Talent Camp (AMTC), this year’s national pageant shifted its core focus from conventional beauty to "Beauty with a Purpose." Contestants were strictly evaluated on intelligence, leadership, social awareness, and their commitment to humanitarian causes.
"Our goal is no longer just beauty, but purpose, leadership, and social service," said Azra Mahmud, National Director of Miss World Bangladesh. She praised Sayeed for her exceptional blend of personality, human values, and potential to bring glory to the nation on an international platform.
An expert jury panel selected the winner, featuring former titleholders Shirin Akhter Sheela, Ifa Tabassum, and Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, alongside fashion experts Mehreen Afroz Chowdhury and Sheikh Saifur Rahman.
Before departing for Vietnam, Sayeed will undergo intensive preparation focusing on international presentation and the execution of meaningful social initiatives, cementing the platform’s mission to foster female leaders who inspire positive societal change.
