Six underprivileged families in Jhalakathi received autorickshaws on Sunday, opening new paths to economic self-reliance. Officials hope this joint initiative by the Jhalakathi Municipality and the City Social Service Office will create sustainable income sources for these households.

Jhalakathi Additional Deputy Commissioner and Municipal Administrator Md. Kawsar Hossain handed over the keys to the beneficiaries during a ceremony at the municipal premises. He stated that the initiative, implemented at a cost of Tk 4.79 lakh, aims to generate direct employment and foster financial independence for marginalized groups.

Beneficiaries expressed joy upon receiving the vehicles, noting that the support will help transform their families' economic realities and ensure a dignified livelihood.
