


Bangladesh's Meteorological Department has warned that thunderstorms and strong winds could affect 11 regions, including Dhaka, by Monday evening.
According to a forecast issued for the country's inland river ports, the affected areas include Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet.
Meteorologist A.K.M. Nazmul Haque said the regions could experience temporary thunderstorms with winds ranging from 60 to 80 kilometers per hour, moving from the west or northwest.
River ports in these areas have been advised to display Local Cautionary Signal No. 2.
The forecast also said other parts of the country could experience rain or thunderstorms with temporary gusty winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour from the south or southeast. River ports in those areas have been instructed to display Local Cautionary Signal No. 1.
The advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. Monday.
