National Rural Development Day Observed in Nageshwari

The Upazila Administration and the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) jointly observed National Rural Development Day 2026 in Nageshwari on Monday.

The day's events began at 11:00 a.m. with a colorful rally that started at the Upazila headquarters and marched through key roads in the town. Following the rally, officials held a public discussion and distributed tree saplings at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Badruzzaman Rishad chaired the meeting. Key speakers included Livestock Officer Dr. Arifur Rahman Kanak, Senior Fisheries Officer Md. Shahadat Hossain, Agriculture Officer Md. Shahriar Hossain, BRDB Officer Golam Mostafa, and Police Inspector (Investigation) Atiqur Rahman. Local political leaders, including Upazila BNP President Golam Rasul Raja and Upazila Jamaat Ameer Abdul Mannan, also addressed the gathering.
