


National Rural Development Day was celebrated in Madhukhali, Faridpur, highlighting the theme, "National Rural Prosperous Country, Bangladesh First."
Organized by the National Rural Development Board (BRDB) Madhukhali branch, a discussion was held at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6. The day’s programs began earlier with a colorful rally through the main roads of the Upazila Sadar.
Upazila Executive Officer Rawshana Jahan chaired the meeting, while Senior Fisheries Officer Pabitra Kumar Das moderated. Upazila Rural Development Officer Md. Harun Or Rashid delivered the welcome address.
Faridpur-1 Member of Parliament Dr. Md. Ilias Mollah attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Madhukhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sukdev Roy, BRDB Madhukhali President Md. Haider Ali Molla, and Jamaat-e-Islami Madhukhali Ameer Maulana Alimuzzaman. BRDB members, local political leaders, government officials, and community members were also in attendance.
Speakers at the event emphasized that continuous rural development is essential for strengthening the national economy. They urged active public participation in government programs to build a self-reliant and prosperous rural Bangladesh.
