The Bangladesh government has officially prohibited the use of the Prime Minister’s image on banners, festoons, and billboards created for government programs. This new directive, issued by the Cabinet Division in a circular on Sunday, is effective immediately.
According to the circular, the ban applies to all versions of the Prime Minister's image, including 3D forms. Instead of featuring the head of government, all state agencies are now directed to prioritize the theme and content of the specific event when designing publicity materials.
The Cabinet Division emphasized that banners and billboards must contain only relevant and consistent information. Designs are required to clearly reflect the message, purpose, and subject matter of the event to ensure the focus remains on the program’s objectives.
Describing the move as “very important,” the Cabinet Division has instructed all relevant authorities to implement the change without delay. This directive marks a shift in official protocol, moving away from personalized branding toward a focus on the substance of government initiatives.
