Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has ditched his famous flowing blonde hair for a clean buzz cut. The Norwegian striker debuted his new look on social media and on his YouTube channel ahead of City's Premier League opener against Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium.
The transformation sparked humorous reactions across the football world:
Zlatan Ibrahimović teased the striker in a YouTube video, asking if he had "lost a bet" and joking, "You gonna be faster now, or what?"
Pep Guardiola reacted with lighthearted envy with quipping that "You're lucky to have hair. I would love to have it!"
Haaland initially arrived at the stadium wearing a cap before removing it during pre-match warmups to reveal his cropped style. Despite missing several clear scoring opportunities in the new trim as Manchester City secured a 2-1 victory to open their campaign with three points.
