Met Office Issues Storm Warning for 2 Bangladesh Regions

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a weather warning for inland river ports in the Rangpur and Mymensingh regions, valid from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursday.

According to the forecast, these regions may experience rain or thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusts or squally winds blowing from the west or northwest at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour.

River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist Local Cautionary Signal No. 1 to ensure safe vessel movement.
