Nomination Scrutiny for Reserved Women Seats Begins Today

The Election Commission (EC) is set to begin the scrutiny of nomination papers for the reserved women seats of the 13th National Parliament today, Wednesday. The two-day selection process will conclude on Thursday, April 23, in line with the official election roadmap.

According to a notification issued by Md. Moin Uddin Khan, Joint Secretary of the EC Secretariat and the Returning Officer for this election, the scrutiny will take place at the Election Bhaban Auditorium (Basement-2) in Agargaon.

Key Details of the Scrutiny Schedule Wednesday (April 22) Scrutiny begins at 2:00 PM. Thursday (April 23) Scrutiny begins at 10:00 AM.

To ensure transparency and fairness, the EC has confirmed that all candidates, along with their proposers and supporters, are permitted to be present during the evaluation of their respective nomination papers.

Following this phase, appeals against the decisions can be filed on April 26, with the final list of candidates expected after the withdrawal deadline on April 29.
