


Minister Hajjaj emphasized the government’s goal to bring the national education system under a single curriculum. The objective is to ensure students achieve uniform skills after 12 years of study, regardless of whether they are enrolled in Bengali, English, or Madrasah mediums.
“We are prioritizing the development of a skilled population through a focus on language, mathematics, and moral values,” Hajjaj stated, adding that technology will be provided to every student and teacher.
Significant changes to the curriculum, including a greater emphasis on culture and sports, are set to begin after June. The government aims for full implementation within two to three years.
The State Minister also highlighted a crackdown on the "coaching-based" education trend. By improving school-based learning, the government expects the reliance on private coaching to decrease significantly over the next three years.
Key updates mentioned during the session include, Ensuring 96% student participation in primary education. Policy-level discussions are ongoing regarding the effectiveness of the lottery system after Class 1. Plans to accelerate the Child Welfare Trust’s activities for underprivileged children.
The Ministry is reviewing the school managing committee structure and the Ramadan holiday calendar to better reflect national realities.
