Fire Breaks Out at Garment Factory and Chemical Warehouse in Mirpur

A fire broke out at a garment factory and chemical warehouse in Shialbari area of Mirpur, Dhaka, late Tuesday morning.

According to Talha Bin Jasim, acting officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence media cell, the fire started around 11:40 AM.

Five units of the fire service are currently working to bring the blaze under control, and three more units are on their way to the site, he confirmed.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not been determined as of yet.

No casualties have been reported so far. Further details are awaited.
