Families Of Martyrs And Injured in July Movement To Get Flats In Mirpur: State Minister for Public Works

Families of martyrs and those seriously injured during the July movement will receive free flats in Dhaka’s Mirpur announced State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahmed Sohel Manjur.

Speaking at a reception for martyrs' families and fighters in Pirojpur’s Bhandaria Municipality on Wednesday the State Minister detailed the government's rehabilitation initiatives. He confirmed that 15 modern buildings are currently under construction in Mirpur specifically for this purpose.

"The current government is committed to honoring every sacrifice made during the July Movement" Manjur said. "Once construction is complete these free flats will be allocated to the families of the martyrs and the severely injured."

The State Minister emphasized the nation's enduring gratitude to the movement's heroes and noted that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman provided the core leadership for the uprising. He also praised the crucial role played by the people of Pirojpur in the anti-dictatorship struggle assuring swift implementation of all welfare plans.

During the event honors and financial assistance checks were distributed to affected families and injured fighters from Bhandaria Upazila. Earlier in the day Manjur laid a wreath and offered prayers at the grave of July movement martyr Emdadul Haque.

The reception was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Hasibul Hasan and attended by local administration officials law enforcement and political leaders who echoed the government's commitment to supporting the victims' families.
