Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has emphasized the critical need for transparency and complete impartiality from all election observers tasked with monitoring the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad elections.

Speaking at a dialogue with representatives from 40 observation organizations today at the Election Commission Bhaban in Agargaon, the CEC underscored that the Election Commission's (EC) sole objective is to deliver a fair and credible election to the nation, calling it a collective national responsibility.

"Those of you working at the field level must remain fully impartial and ensure that anyone operating under your direction understands that the Election Commission has only one objective to deliver a fair and credible election to the nation," AMM Nasir Uddin stated.

The CEC informed the observers that the EC will run its own supervisory system but also wishes to view the election "through your eyes." Observers are mandated to report truthfully on the overall transparency of the process. Compliance with the election code of conduct and relevant laws, How the campaign is progressing, the management of polling centers, Performance of presiding officers and police, whether voters face any obstructions.

CEC Nasir Uddin sternly warned that individuals appointed by observation organizations must not influence any party's campaign; their duty is strictly to observe and not to interfere in the electoral process.

He also welcomed feedback and recommendations, stating that observers should report any shortcomings in the commission's management. "Your recommendations will guide our future actions," he added, as the EC aims to conduct a fully transparent and voter-friendly election.

Election Commissioners Brig Gen (Retd.) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah, Abdur Rahmanel Masud, Tahmida Ahmed, Md Anwarul Islam Sarkar, and Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed were also in attendance.
