The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has alleged that "fake drones" modeled after Iran’s "Shahed" series are being used to attack regional targets in an attempt to frame Tehran.
In a statement released Sunday (March 15), spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaqari identified the imitation drone as "Lucas." He warned that these drones are being deployed against neighboring countries to sow diplomatic distrust and undermine Iran’s regional relations.
Zolfaqari claimed that after failing in direct military and political efforts, "enemies" are now using deceptive tactics. He specifically addressed Muslim governments in the Middle East, reiterating that Iran’s military policy remains defensive and targeted strictly at U.S. and Israeli interests.
"Iran officially accepts responsibility after its military operations," Zolfaqari stated. He clarified that recent "mischievous" attacks on infrastructure in Turkey, Kuwait, and Iraq were not the work of Iranian forces, describing them as a blueprint designed to destroy regional trust.
The spokesperson noted that since the reported assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader and several military commanders on February 28, the U.S. and Israel have launched large-scale operations against Iranian infrastructure. While Iran has retaliated with missiles and drones against U.S. and Israeli positions, Zolfaqari stressed that Tehran has no intention of attacking friendly neighbors and respects their sovereignty.
He concluded by calling for regional unity, warning that falling for these "satanic tactics" would only embolden foreign plots. He urged neighboring officials to maintain deep cooperation to thwart external interference.
