Gulf tensions escalated significantly on Thursday as Kuwait intercepted incoming Iranian drones and Bahrain activated its air raid sirens. These alarming incidents immediately followed a night of American military strikes on Iranian territory.
In a public statement on X, the Kuwaiti army confirmed it was actively neutralizing "hostile drone attacks" resulting from what it termed Iranian aggression. Simultaneously, Bahrain’s interior ministry urged its citizens and residents to remain calm and immediately proceed to the nearest safe locations.
Adding to the regional instability, Iran’s state television network (IRIB) reported that the Iranian military deployed kamikaze drones to strike U.S. military communication systems and fuel storage facilities in Jordan. Tehran explicitly stated that these drone strikes were a direct retaliation against the ongoing U.S. military assaults on Iran.
