


Hollywood’s legendary actor and Oscar winner Robert Duvall has died. According to a CNN report, he breathed his last on Sunday (February 15) at his residence in Middleburg, Virginia. The news was confirmed in a statement by the actor’s wife, Luciana Pedraza.
Born in California in 1931, Duvall served in the US Army before entering acting. Later, he studied acting in New York, where his classmates included stars such as Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman.
In a six-decade-long career, he established himself as one of Hollywood’s most influential actors.
Robert Duvall is best known for playing the role of ‘Tom Hagen’, a trusted advisor to the Corleone family, in the film ‘The Godfather’. Another milestone in his career was winning the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Tender Mercies in 1983.
In addition to The Godfather, Duvall has also starred in films such as Apocalypse Now, To Kill a Mockingbird and Lonesome Dove. In addition to acting, Duvall has directed films such as The Apostle and Assassination Tango.
Duvall was known as a man of integrity. In 1990, he refused to star in The Godfather Part III due to pay disparity. In 2004, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts.
