Chattogram University (CU) will suspend all academic activities for six days starting Tuesday to accommodate the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election on Feb. 12.
The closure, effective from Feb. 10 to Feb. 15, applies to all departments, institutes, and affiliated colleges. University authorities confirmed that all pre-scheduled examinations falling within this period are suspended.
Professor Momtaz Uddin Ahmed, the university’s Controller of Examinations, issued the emergency notice Sunday. The break is intended to facilitate election-related logistics and allow students and staff to travel to their home constituencies to vote.
Normal academic operations and exams are set to resume on Feb. 16. The university advised students to check with their respective departments for the rescheduled dates of postponed exams, which will be announced separately.
