Woman Killed by Train While Crossing Tracks in Pabna

A 42-year-old woman died instantly after being hit by a train in Pabna's Singa Bazar area on Tuesday morning.

The victim, Anu Akhter from Bil Bhaduria in Pabna Sadar Upazila, was crossing the Pabna-Dhalarchar-Majgram railway line at approximately 7:30 am when the accident occurred. According to local sources and railway police, she was struck by the Dhalarchar Express, which was en route from Bera Upazila.

Officers from the Pabna Sadar Police Station secured the scene and notified the Ishwardi Government Railway Police (GRP), who subsequently recovered the body.

Ziaur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of the Ishwardi GRP Police Station, confirmed that the victim's body will be handed over to her family once standard legal procedures are completed.
