HSC examinees formed a human chain and held a protest rally in front of the Faridpur Press Club on Tuesday afternoon, pressing a five-point demand that includes postponing exams due to the ongoing flood situation.

The students demanded less difficult question papers, lenient grading, and special consideration for tougher subjects. Arguing that holding exams during severe floods is highly impractical, the protesters also called for the immediate resignation of the Education Minister.

Addressing the gathering, speakers asserted that the current examination system fails to accurately evaluate true merit. They emphasized that their peaceful movement aims to secure the rightful interests of all students. Key speakers included Sharmistha Karmakar, Tajul Islam Tuhin, Junaid Ahmed, Mohammad Rakib, Saima Akhter, and Medha Akhter.

Following the rally, the protesters staged a march, temporarily disrupting traffic on the roads adjacent to the Press Club. The students announced plans to hold another rally and protest march at the same venue at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
