BNP central leader Mofizur Rahman Ashiq has stood by the people affected by the flood in Banshkhali upazila of Chittagong with relief materials on behalf of BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

On Monday (July 13), he visited various flood-affected areas of the upazila and handed over relief materials to the affected and flood-affected people on behalf of BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

At the time, he said, 'It is everyone's moral responsibility to stand by the people affected by the recent floods. Currently, millions are still trapped in the terrible floods in Banshkhali. We are distributing food and emergency relief materials to the flood victims in Banshkhali on behalf of Tarique Rahman. Our party leaders and activists are working in the field to provide relief assistance according to the needs of the people affected in the flood-affected areas.'

He further said, 'The suffering of the affected people can be reduced with the coordinated efforts of the government, political parties and people from different classes and professions of the society. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will continue to provide assistance to the affected families so that they can return to normal life as soon as possible.'

During the distribution of relief materials, Chhatra Dal Central Parliament Joint General Secretary Mominul Islam Jisan, Chittagong Metropolitan Youth Dal leader Abul Kalam Azad, Chittagong University Chhatra Dal Joint General Secretary Imranul Haque, Joint Secretary SM Ashek Ullah, Banshkhali Municipality Chhatra Dal leader Jihan and others were present.
