Md. Rabiul Haque, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banshkhali Police Station, has been named the best OC in Chittagong district for his outstanding performance in May 2026.
Chittagong District Superintendent of Police, Md. Masud Alam (BPM), presented the award during the district police's monthly welfare and crime meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
The recognition highlights significant law enforcement achievements under OC Haque's leadership last month. During May, Banshkhali Police registered and resolved 49 cases, addressed 125 public complaints, and executed 60 warrants. Additionally, the station arrested 75 individuals—including suspects in six drug-related cases—and seized 2,058 Yaba tablets and 100 liters of illicit liquor. The award also recognized his broader contributions to stabilizing law and order in the area.
Reacting to the recognition, OC Haque said, "This honor is the result of the collective efforts of the Banshkhali community and our dedicated police force. I am grateful to the Superintendent of Police and seek the continued cooperation of the public to achieve even more in the future."
