A passenger bus lost control and plunged into a roadside ditch along the Charfasson Regional Highway in Bhola on Tuesday morning (June 9). Miraculously, no casualties or serious injuries were reported among the passengers.

The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. near the Boxeali Bridge in Madhya Joynagar of Daulatkhan Upazila.

According to police, the bus, operating under the name Bilas-2, was traveling from Charfasson Upazila toward the Bhola Sadar Elisha Launch Ghat. As the speeding vehicle approached the Boxeali Bridge, the driver lost control, causing the bus to veer off the road and into an adjacent pond.

Tajib Uddin, In-charge of the Banglabazar Police Outpost, confirmed the incident. "Initial reports suggest the accident was caused by excessive speed. Upon receiving the information, our team rushed to the scene and rescued the passengers," he said.

Uddin confirmed that no one was seriously injured, and all passengers were able to safely leave the scene and continue to their destinations.
