


Central leaders and district engineers gathered to strengthen the Tangail Sub-Center of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), the nation’s premier engineering body. IEB Vice President (Academic & International) Khan Monjur Morshed attended as the chief guest.
The meeting was held on Thursday, June 4, at the Kamrul Hasan Siddique Auditorium inside the Tangail LGED Building. Special guests included IEB Vice Presidents Engineer Sheikh Al Amin (HRD), Engineer Niaz Uddin Bhuiyan (S&W), and Engineer ATM Tanvir Il Hasan Tomal (Admin & Finance), alongside central services and welfare officials Engineer Muhammad Ahsanul Russel and Engineer Sabbir Ahmed Osmani.
Chaired by Tangail Sub-Center Chairman Engineer Mohammad Nazmul Haque Khan, the event featured addresses from key district officials. Speakers included senior engineers Md. Obaidul Islam (PDB), Mohammad Kamruzzaman (LGED), Synthia Azmeri Khan (Roads and Highways), Raisul Islam (DPHE), Shambhuram Pal (PWD), and Md. Istiaque Iqbal Himel (EED).
Attendees adopted comprehensive measures to expand the sub-center's organizational reach, address engineers' rights, and foster professional solidarity. The event drew executive and sub-divisional engineers from various government departments across the district, as well as professionals from the private sector.
