The Bangladesh Chemist and Druggists Association (BCDS) held its 2026 triennial election for the Nageshwari Upazila branch on Saturday afternoon at the local Merchants Association office.

Voters elected Ibrahim Ali, proprietor of Sister Pharmacy, as president, and Maidul Islam Malek, proprietor of Mou Pharmacy, as senior vice president. Abdul Malek of Arcadia Pharmacy and Shafiqul Islam of Shimu Pharmacy were both elected as vice presidents.

The election and subsequent discussion were chaired by BCDS Upazila Convener and Election Commissioner Selim Ahmed Tuku, and moderated by the newly elected president, Ibrahim Ali. Key speakers at the event included BCDS District President Alhaj Ataur Rahman Herik, Senior Vice President Chinmoy Pal, and Upazila BNP Convener Golam Rasul Raja.
