Hundreds of youths participated in a cycle rally in Pabna on Saturday, June 6, to promote energy awareness in observance of World Environment Day.
Organized by the Green Growth Foundation, the morning rally was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Mostafa Noman, Member Secretary of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Pabna District Branch.
The cyclists set off from the Pabna Edward College ground, rode through the city's main roads, and concluded the route near the Pabna Mental Hospital.
Organizers believe the initiative will encourage sustainable habits to help address the country's ongoing energy challenges. Beyond the rally, the foundation marked World Environment Day by planting trees, distributing public awareness leaflets, and hosting educational discussions with environmental experts.
Key attendees included Dr. Hafiz Iqbal, Program Officer for the UNESCO National Commission, and Mahfuzur Rahman Shrawan, Founder and President of the Green Growth Foundation.
