On Saturday (June 6) morning, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman officially inaugurated a nationwide program to plant 250 million trees during a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon.

The launch coincides with World Environment Day, underscoring the government's commitment to climate resilience. Chaired by the Prime Minister, the meeting focused on practical climate action plans and the strategic rollout of the massive afforestation initiative across the country.

Zahidul Islam Rony, Deputy Press Secretary-1 to the Prime Minister, confirmed the details of the event to the media.
