Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shahed Mostafa inaugurated a tree plantation program in Pabna on Thursday morning as part of a national initiative to plant 250 million trees over five years.

The Pabna Roads and Highways Department organized the event at the Gajchpara bus stand area. Executive Engineer Mansurul Aziz and Deputy Assistant Engineer Sajedul Islam were present, among other department officials.

During the inauguration, Dr. Mostafa highlighted that the program is part of a broader government effort to increase the country's green cover by planting trees along both sides of major roadways.
