President of Nitpur Sangram Parishad Khaled Iqbal Milon has appealed with four demands for the protection and development of the assets of Porsha Nitpur Central Cemetery in Naogaon.
He submitted this application to Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rakibul Islam on Monday afternoon. In the application, he highlighted various irregularities in this 82 bigha cemetery. He also demanded a proper investigation into the assets and management of Nitpur Central Cemetery, negligence of the current committee in its responsibilities, effective measures to prevent irregularities, proper management of income and expenditure and ensuring transparency, and the formation of a transparent and accountable committee based on the opinions of the general public. Local people were present with him at the time.
When asked about this, UNO Rakibul Islam received an application from the locals and said that he would call those currently in charge and make a proper arrangement.
