On Thursday, blankets were distributed among 500 (five hundred) cold-stricken, poor and helpless families in the area surrounding the power plant at Bheramara 410 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant under the North-West Power Generation Company Limited.
The blanket distribution ceremony was presided over by Alhaj Rabiul Awal, Chief Engineer (Plant Manager) of Bheramara Power Plant. Bheramara Upazila Executive Officer Rafiqul Islam was present as the chief guest at the blanket distribution ceremony. Bheramara Power Plant Superintending Engineer (Conservation) Rabiul Islam, Superintending Engineer (Operation) Shimul Kumar Barman, Executive Engineer/Manager level officers and other officers and employees were present.
Bheramara Upazila Executive Officer Rafiqul Islam thanked all those involved in North-West Power Generation Company Ltd. for taking such a great initiative and called on capable people from all walks of life to come forward to help the cold-stricken and helpless people.
Rabiul Islam, Superintendent Engineer (Conservation) of the power plant, said in his speech that the Chief Engineer of the power plant mentioned that the blankets are being distributed among the cold-stricken families under the company's CSR activities with the utmost sincerity of the Managing Director of North-West Power Generation Company Ltd.
North-West Power Generation Company Ltd., as a company under the Power Department, has been providing various types of assistance to the helpless and poor manpower in the areas surrounding the power plant at different times as part of its corporate social responsibility, in addition to generating electricity.
