Following Bangladesh's disappointing 3-0 T20 series whitewash against the West Indies, Captain Liton Das attributed the team’s exhaustive performance to relentless, consistent cricket over the last two and a half months.

Speaking after the five-wicket loss in the final match, Liton emphasized that player fatigue is "very natural" given the non-stop schedule, which included the Asia Cup T20, followed immediately by the home series against Afghanistan (ODIs and T20Is) and the current series against the West Indies (ODIs and T20Is), with no rest period. He stressed that while the players are giving "100 percent," the lack of a break has taken its toll.

Liton now believes a pause is "imperative" for the squad to return refreshed and see improved results ahead of the upcoming three-match T20 series against Ireland.
